{Oh to have his energy!} – Wilmington, NC Family Photographer

Last weekend I met up with a lovely family and hung out with them for a little bit on North Topsail Beach. Spencer, even at five years old and 7pm, was full of life and energy! I wish I could tap into that, I’d get so much done!

I had to share a quick one – it’s one of the few truly genuine smiles he gave me for a head shot and I just grin every time I see it! I think the grin totally captures his zeal for the world around him.

I might even see a little twinkle of boyish mischief in those eyes.  What do you think?

{Their Story} – Wilmington, NC Newborn Photographer

I’m way behind on blogging but I had to share this!  I delivered this order on Thursday and it was one of my favorite sessions to date.  The order captured their session and the love within their growing family so perfectly that it just made my heart happy.

This client purchased one of my collections, which are structured so that you’re not locked into a certain size/number of prints or products.  Everyone’s photo plans are different and I didn’t want to limit the possibilities by asking a client to choose from a limited print option.  They built their own photo package using the collection structure and saved a good bit of money versus buying a la carte in the process!  It definitely tells their story, their way.  What will your story be?

{Adorable newborn squishiness!} – Camp Lejeune newborn photographer

I spent Friday morning with the cutest little newborn and her family! Newborn sessions are so terrible for my baby itch but I have to say, they are definitely my favorite sessions!

My monitor is down for the count until my new one gets here on Tuesday but I did a quickie edit on my iffy laptop so that I could get a sneak peek up for her doting parents. (In other words, don’t hold any imperfections against me, this isn’t a real edit!)

Isn’t she just perfect?!

What’s Your Story?

Storyboards are another of my absolute favorite products and these just came in, so I had to share them!

This storyboard just made my heart sing to see it! I was able to capture some of this family’s most poignant moments over the last year and they’re all here in one storyboard to be displayed in their home. It all started with Andrea’s maternity session, then led to the birth of her beautiful son Quinn, Quinn’s newborn session, and finally introducing father and son as Andrea’s husband returned from Afghanistan. The journey is all here in one glance and I love that about storyboards!

These are mounted on MDF with a striking beveled edge and a glossy coating over the entire image. They come with a keyhole mount so they are a ready-to-hang product!

An entirely different story can be told in just a few moments of beautiful simplicity, such as the stretch and peaceful slumber of a newborn baby.

It’s a bit difficult to tell on the above photo, but the black option has the same beveled edge.

Aren’t they gorgeous?!

So tell me, what story will go on your storyboard?
