Have you ever spent an afternoon with three year old twins who have boundless energy?   I had a whole new respect for their lovely parents after hanging out with these two cutie-patooties! (Yes, I just said cutie-patootie on the blog!)

Super three year old energy aside, these two were totally sweet and I had a blast at our session! I can’t wait to see how much they’ve grown next year!

Whew!  After a busy holiday season I’m finally getting back to getting the blog posts up and running again.

Up next is this beautiful family I had the pleasure of photographing just days before the father deployed to Afghanistan.  Due to the lovely military scheduling, we had no choice but to shoot on one of the darkest, dreariest days that week!  It rained on us the first few minutes of the session and we hid under my reflector and a gazebo, but then it let up and we were able to record some great moments for them!

Hi all! I am finally catching up on blogging so stay tuned for some recent work over the next few weeks!

I’m kicking it off with this super fun family since I posted a photo from the session already! Spencer is clearly loved but I just don’t know how they keep up with him, he kept me on my toes the whole time! Isn’t that smile just melt-worthy?!

What’s Your Story?

May 28, 2010

Storyboards are another of my absolute favorite products and these just came in, so I had to share them!

This storyboard just made my heart sing to see it! I was able to capture some of this family’s most poignant moments over the last year and they’re all here in one storyboard to be displayed in their home. It all started with Andrea’s maternity session, then led to the birth of her beautiful son Quinn, Quinn’s newborn session, and finally introducing father and son as Andrea’s husband returned from Afghanistan. The journey is all here in one glance and I love that about storyboards!

These are mounted on MDF with a striking beveled edge and a glossy coating over the entire image. They come with a keyhole mount so they are a ready-to-hang product!

An entirely different story can be told in just a few moments of beautiful simplicity, such as the stretch and peaceful slumber of a newborn baby.

It’s a bit difficult to tell on the above photo, but the black option has the same beveled edge.

Aren’t they gorgeous?!

So tell me, what story will go on your storyboard?

I recently had the pleasure of spending a Saturday evening with this beautiful family. The children are adorable and the love their parents have for them was readily apparent! I could have happily spent all day photographing them!

Z family, here is your sneak peek!

This was my absolute favorite image from the session! I literally said “Awww!” as soon as it downloaded!
